The tax advantage
Why Spain appeals to entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs who move to Spain can benefit from much lower taxation for six years under a special Spanish regime known as the Beckham Law.
0% on foreign dividends
Dividends, interest and capital gains from abroad are tax-free in Spain.
0% on your assets abroad
Spanish wealth tax applies only to assets in Spain. Whatever you own outside Spain is left untouched.
24% instead of up to 47% income tax
A salary from a Spanish source is taxed at a flat 24% rather than at progressive rates of up to 47%.

Common questions
No. Entrepreneurs can benefit too, typically through a role as managing director. We work out the exact arrangement case by case.
No, quite the opposite. You move to Spain while your business runs through a company abroad. That separation is what makes the tax advantage possible.
The main ones are: no Spanish tax residence in the last five years, a qualifying reason for the move, an application within six months and a genuine centre of life in Spain (usually more than 183 days a year).
Leaving your current country of residence can trigger exit taxation – in Germany, for example. We plan your departure carefully in advance and coordinate with your existing tax adviser.
The Beckham regime applies for up to six tax years: the year you arrive plus the following five.
